The Bass River Gazette is a local historical newsletter jointly published by the Bass River Library History Committee and The Great John Mathis Foundation. It's contributing members are Harry DeVerter, Stephen Eichinger, Jean Harris, Murray T. Harris, Ron Kurtz, Elaine Mathis, Peter H. Stemmer, and the Herrintown Poet. We lost our friend and colleague, Almira Steele, on July 11, 2006, Murray and Jean Harris have moved out of the area, and Elaine is away for a good part of the year. We welcome Ron Kurtz who has joined us with his talent for illustrating historical events.
